Polish Aviation Representatives Visit British Columbia for Insight and Collaboration

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – A delegation from The Technology Park of Aviation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Bielsko, Poland, led by Development Manager Michał Holeksa, recently completed a fruitful visit with the British Columbia’s General Aviation Association. The visit aimed to gain insight into the Canadian General Aviation (GA) market and explore potential collaboration opportunities.

The Technology Park, located in Kaniów, Poland, is a member of the Silesian Cluster of Aviation, an organization uniting local airports and businesses in the Silesia region. The Park focuses on activities such as leasing production and storage space, aerodrome activities, and land rehabilitation for industrial use. It is also leading the investment for a General Aviation Airport in the region.

During their visit, the Polish delegation sought to learn more about the types of services offered by airports in British Columbia, as well as the ownership structure of these airports and related businesses. This included exploring the roles of private ownership and local authorities in airport development and understanding if leasing land around airports is a common source of revenue in the region.

British Columbia’s General Aviation scene is considered well-developed, making it an ideal place for the Polish delegation to gather insights that could inform the development and transformation of General Aviation in Poland. In exchange, the Polish representatives shared their experiences and knowledge about the emerging GA market in Central Europe.

The visit resulted in a productive exchange of ideas and experiences between the two groups, with both parties expressing interest in potential future collaborations. As the Technology Park continues to grow and develop its aviation-related services, the knowledge gained from this visit will undoubtedly prove invaluable in shaping the future of General Aviation in Poland.
