Len Lambert Eternally Airborne (1947-2016)

Our friend and fellow member Len Lambert has passed away after struggling with cancer. Len was definitely a free spirit. He was always willing to help and you could find him just about anywhere there were aviators gathering. He flew his little Piper Vagabond all over the province but his real joy came from flying the gravel bars of the Fraser River and the beaches of the west coast such as Vargas Island and Nootka Island. Len will definitely be missed.

“The airplane is just a bunch of sticks and wires and cloth, a tool for learning about the sky and about what kind of person I am, when I fly. An airplane stands for freedom, for joy, for the power to understand, and to demonstrate that understanding. Those things aren’t destructible.”
— Richard Bach, Nothing by Chance, 1963
