Why did you start flying?
I have been a huge aviation history fan and have followed the life and exploits of Charles Lindbergh, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, designers like Burt Rutan and military pilots from WWII.
Unfortunately, learning to fly in India turned out to be way too expensive and I didn’t really get the encouragement to pursue because I was told I need to be the quintessential “I.T/ programmer guy” so I left home to pursue my other passion – film making and animation in the hopes that some day in another country I will save enough to get my PPL.
Fast forward to 2016 after moving 3 countries and working on some cool starwars movies, I moved to Vancouver and before I could even find an apartment I signed up at a flying school.
After three summers of battling everyday adulting life, finances, career goals, BC weather, airplane availability, revolving door of instructors I finally did it.
It took a long time but every minute was worth a thousand lifetimes.
