This is a challenging strip that is not suitable for all aircraft or pilot experience. Rising, narrow terrain to the East. Know your speeds and limitations! “Easiest” approach is from the water, but that often has a tailwind. The approach from the East requires a fairly dramatic drop over some tall trees to get down and stopped in time. Even in my 210hp Maule, the rising terrain required max performance climb after doing a low pass. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful spot and is a fun place to fly into!
